Synodon Inc.
Synodon Inc. is developing a new airborne survey service called realSens™ that will be the most effective and efficient solution for natural gas line leak detection.  Unlike existing ground based or airborne solutions realSens™ can cover over 100 km per hour and still pinpoint early stage leaks before they become problematic.  realSens™ will have comparable sensitivity to current survey methods but will be able to perform these measurement from an airborne platform flying at 1000 feet.  The underlying technology was developed and proven out under Canada's Space Program by the University of Toronto and Canadian Space Agency and then further refined by our scientists.

Scanimetrics Inc.
Scanimetrics builds equipment to measure the heartbeat of computer chips.  They have a working prototype of their micron-scale wireless telemetry technology that enables the wireless, non-contact testing of semiconductors.  The benefits of the technology dramatically improve test effectiveness and lower test costs at every stage in the semiconductor value chain.  There is a major problem in the semiconductor industry as the cost of testing is nearing the cost of production.  The company has acquired an exclusive, worldwide, non-royalty bearing license to the underlying patent pending Intellectual Property from the University of Alberta and formed a core management team.  Scanimetrics is also a client of the Inno-centre Alberta Business Development Program.
